The thing that sticks out to me, is the quality of the lawyers Trump has chosen in the last few years. To be sure, that's largely probably because he doesn't PAY his lawyers that he gets the bottom of the barrel scum, but considering the 'defenses' he's been putting up as of late, along with the 'defenses', it seems clear to me that this has never been about actually defending himself in court – Trump doesn't know how. He never has, he believes the way you 'win' a court case is just merely delaying it until the clock runs out and the statutes of limitations kick in. So the more ridiculous the lawyers' arguments, the more idiotic his arguments, the more he delays with appeals he knows he will lose and are absolutely frivolous in nature, all have absolutely nothing to do with innocence or proving his case whatsoever. It's literally his actual 'defense'. Throw everything at the wall and see what sticks, appeal to the court of public opinion which he believes overrules the court of Law, deny justice, deny the truth, deny facts because he knows his cult will just believe everything he says without question anyway and that's just the way he likes it. He's not the problem, in his eyes, all of US are the problem because we won't just let him do whatever he wants.
