In my view the problem is the word ‘insurrection’ and bad as Jan 6 was it wasn’t an insurrection as such and the Supreme Court will so find. I hope I am wrong. If they do disqualify him you may have a real insurrection. The situation is dreadful and you have a weak judiciary as has already been demonstrated

Who wants a president who wears diapers and can't stop crapping in them. He is a traitor. Traitors should not get special treatment. It's disgusting.

I believe Donadl Trump incited a riot and encourage an insurection. But I don't get to make that call all by myself. This is a fine point of Constitutional law. The 14th ammendment section 3 leaves lots to interpretation, unfortunately. It doesn't define who determines when it applies. Saying that POTUS isn't an "an officer of the United States" is ridiculous. The President IS an officer of the United States. But who shall determine what constitutes "insurrection" and "rebellion", who did or did not do it, is not clear. It seems to imply that the States have that power but that Congress by 2/3rds vote can remove such disqualification. Remove it…not impose it. So who can impose it first such that Congress can remove the disqualification? Seems to imply that the States can enforce the disqualification. Only the States can set there own election rules and methods. Section 3 and section 5 never even mention SCOTUS but any constitutional matter gets settled by SCOTUS. I fear SCOTUS will monumentally drop the ball on this one. Given how much time they have to make the call, SCOTUS will punt rather than give a definative hard call. I don't trust SCOTUS to do the right thing. Not any more. Not since Citizens United.

Donald Trump just doesn't like the fact that he cannot be dictator you just cannot be a king that's not something you can be in America. You can be the king of your own castle but your Castle ends at your property line.

I think all hosts of broadcast news items should credit "The next GOP President…" as saying this or that or "… has lied about …" etc, etc.

==== > So, what. You're okay to make the Constitution a martyr? The guy belongs in ore-trial detention. I'm starting to think this is going to turn out like the Russia investigation. Someone will come out and say they couldn't prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. If the law doesn't matter, why vote? Trump could get back on the ballot. All he has to do is convince Congress to lift the restriction with a 2/3 vote from both Houses.

Every appellate attorney knows that strict "originalism," "textualism" is totally insincere political BS. It's making up a phony "historical" argument to support your phony, partisan decision. Pure right-wing Scalia BS.

These MAGA folks and their support of the former POtuS is unfathomable. They have brainwashed themselves into proudly gleeful ignorance. They're so afraid of thinking for themselves, they claim to be accepting of their own personal dictatorship. Their position on the rights of anyone that isn't a gun-carrrying white male is our own American Sharia Law. And yet, somehow, no matter what the event or situation, the Republican is always, always, always the victim. Also, this probably doesn't belong on YouTube. Forgive me, lol.

I think the Supreme Court finds that the 14th Amendment applies to the President and that the President is an Officer under the USA. However, they find there is no direct evidence that trump participated in insurrection for Jan 6. This is the out they need to coddle trump.

My question now is, what happens when GOP Secretaries of State in red states decide since they have the power to do this, they dedide they will remove Biden from the ballot (or anyone else!) because they believe Biden committed insurrection?? Even though there is no merit or evidence to that, what would prevent them from doing this??

He didn't just take part in an insurrection, or only give aide and comfort to an insurrection, he organized and incited it! "Come to DC on Jan 6, will be wild!.. We're going to march to the Capitol… You've got to fight like hell or you won't have a country anymore."

I find it hard to forward on many of the videos because the titles are written to attract the choir, not the audience. Sure I know it drives up views, but for people who aren’t already of the opinion that Trump is awful, they give me feedback like, “why would I want to watch THAT?” (even when I contextualize it).
So, some videos very accessible to those needing some deprograming should get more inviting titles to those who hold the alternative view…

Whether he is convicted or not or deemed to have nothing to do with the insurrection…. If other people have, like the people who were sent to prison, he has provided aid and comfort to insurrectionists when singing those songs with them and promising them pardons.

Something has to be done about our officials personal information getting out and people making death threats to them, their personal info like anybody else should be protected and threats should be investigated to there fullest with maybe a bonus amount of jail time for trying to intimidate them 🤔

You know … I think we need to turn the tables just a little bit…. Post all of his contacts on line .. don’t forget he can and gets protection from the secret service FOR LIFE!! I think that should be removed once the Jan 6th case finds him guilty.. or any of his other cases ! Just a thought !

All Secretaries of State have an obligation to remove Trump from the ballot for insurrection. Then, and only then, should Trump be able to contest that removal through the courts.
