Haley was a diplomat to the UN in the same way that John Bolton was a diplomat to the UN. She wasn’t there to negotiate or to make deals. She was just there to represent certain interests and push a point of view.
I think most people missed the bigger problem with Nikki's answer:
She is claiming that it was about the people's freedom and liberties and about government involvement. Hmm….which side of the civil war claims that that was the issue? The South. So she is pretty much siding with the south's — while at the same time saying she is grateful that we made the "right" decision in banning slavery.

I think Sam's analysis on the third party ticket is too optimistic. Trump isn't going to cut it, because on the one hand Dems are playing some game about court cases and at this point he's unlikely to make it to the finish line and on the other hand standard republicans don't want to experience the screaming and yelling the previous period was, they have concluded that trump was indeed a clown. What this truly highlights is that people are dropping the towel on both parties, whoever wins will be the one less "unvoted".

After you've done that, spend New Years with reservations at various restaurants over the years, find the one you love, and spend the night there, with a great 4 course meal, bottles of wine/champaign, and joy.

My head almost exploded watching Nikki Haley. We learned more about other topics that contributed to the Civil war in history class about slavery and other topics in high school! I wrote an essay about the civil war. These republican candidates are all insane.
