The Sachler family should not have been allowed to accrue wealth in the manner they did in the first place. If someone robs a bank, you don't say "oh, we shouldn't take money from the bank robber's family, just the part the bank robber had in his pockets at the time." We need to change laws so the rich cannot steal the excessive amounts they are now stealing from us, but, in the meantime, we need to recoup those funds through legal actions and taxes.
