I have been following the various cases where Trump is claiming presidential immunity, or sometimes absolute presidential immunity. My understanding was the constitution only talks about immunity for official acts in a CIVIL case. So why is it now being used in CRIMINAL case? How is he immune from criminal liability, even in an official act? He shoots someone while conducting an official act and that is okay?
