I understand the legal avenue he is travelling down but my belief is that the 14th amendment, which requires all citizens to be given the equal protection of the laws, does not overrule the Article II clause which specifically states that the President specifically must be natural born. If 14th intended to override this it would have stated that clearly.

Those who raise the age exception clause of the Constitution with regards to eligibility are totally right! If we were to go by Cenk's logic, people under 35 could also make the case that they are being discriminated against: after all, every 18-year-old is a citizen under the Law.
People who are incarcerated and serving prison sentences can also claim discrimination when it comes to certain freedoms and constitutional rights that they are deprived of during the time of their sentence, including the right to vote.
The amendment that affords everybody equal rights and treatment under the law is subject to those specific-case exceptions.
Finally, claiming that someone could be allowed on the ballot, but the Supreme Court would decide later on whether they could serve as President is just ridiculous! Getting elected and serving as President is a direct consequence of being on the ballot. Why would a person be allowed on the ballot if they could not serve for the job they are running. Purely asinine!
I agree with Cenk that his interpretation of the Constitutional amendment is the correct one and that the language is clear.
I am just skeptical that the courts will side with him or with the Constitution. It seems that even the supreme court judges are as bought as the politicians. That is the problem that I fear.
I hope I am wrong.
