Mr. Walden has the same passionate positions as this non-lawyer has. There were twenty-eight states in the 1860 presidential election. Lincoln won all eighteen non-slave states with just less than 40% of the Electoral College. The ten slave states south of the Mason-Dixon Line & Ohio River did not distribute ballots for Lincoln.

No-one can be judge and jury of their own case, and no-one can legitimately expunge the prosecution of their own crimes.

When I hear some of the analysis without a FULL understanding of the REAL threat to our democracy it makes me crazy. Mike Johnson does not even believe the Constitution should have been written. The agenda we are facing is a long and well organized assault on the very Constitution we revere. If The Malignant One gets reelected and is dictator "for one day," hahaha, he will dismantle and replace it with this evil agenda. I predict he will then dump his Evangelical supporters, whom he despises and derides, and carry on with his own objectives of greed and power. I wouldn't even be surprised if he vetoed the Dobbs decision to try to woo back women. Your reporters need to understand most of their arguments do not apply. THIS IS NOT NORMAL. The immunity issue is primarily useful to help stop the trial before the election but it is also important for trump to harden his cult, to get them ready for the day that trump refuses to obey or enforce a SC ruling that trump doesn't like.

As much as I dislike Mr. T., and would ever vote for him, I wonder if it wouldn't be unfortunate if a candidate is allowed to run in a national election, state elections are a different matter, in some parts of the country but not in other parts of the country.
In addition, I wonder how democratic it would be to allow certain parts of a country to vote for a candidate, but residents of another part of the nation were not allowed to do so. Isn't the risk then, if possible, that new lawsuits with residents who claim that they could not vote for the person they wanted to vote for could not do so because that candidate was just there disqualified.

Unlike what Walden's Pond said, the shipping of (a mere 0.5% of the total) "asylum seekers" to Democratic Sanctuary Cities is NOT one of the two major immigration problems – it's merely giving them a taste of what the border states are putting up with daily. I don't think you really add anything unexpected to the conversation by having a blazing Progressive like Jonathan Capehart on the panel. Also, he doesn't have the intellectual heft to lift anything but a hot air balloon.
The SC needs to uphold the Constitution and keep Trump off the ballot and from running at all. We are probably going to have some violence anyway as Trump is already stoking the flames. Just remove the clear and present danger to our Constitution, Democracy, Country, and rule of law. We will NOT have a democratic country at all, not to mention, good standing in the world if Trump wins.
