Bottom line is Barack Housein Snow-bama had this in his 3rd term plan.
Why? Because you need a good spark to ignite the fuel for a HUGE Flame. You know, just like what happened before President Lincoln's term.

Illinois is a unconstitutional state, why? well all they want to do is what the Natzi's did to the germans take the law abiding gun owners and disarm them, so remember the primary purpose of the Second Amendment is to ensure that should a tyrannical power overtake the Nation, Americans will be able to defend themselves; because this danger always exists, gun control should be prohibited, how does a constitutional abiding citizen defend themselves if there is no level ground? Constitution was made by the people to restrict our own government, who is changing the constitutional laws? our government. How is this legal? it's not by the people's constitutional rights.

The law most likely has an affirmative defense for convicted felon, inner city Chicago blacks. It’s ok for them to possess whatever firearm they want.

So far with just days left to register their Semi Automatic rifles, less than 1% of Illinois citizens have complied. Good job my fellow Americans, keep giving them the middle finger, telling them you shall not comply to their unconstitutional laws that violate your rights, period!

The problem that Illinois citizens have is gang related violence using pistols. The government's problem is law abiding citizens in possession of semi-automatic rifles. Their law fixes their problem, not the citizens of Illinois.

When a tyrannical government takes the majority and forces the passing of laws that violate or even seemingly violate the citizens rights… it's time to make a stand! Our founding Fathers would approve of the Citizens of Illinois NON-Compliance with such a tyrannical law.

People too quickly forget in 2010 McDonald versus the city of chicago. The US supreme Court ruled that it was unconstitutional for the city of Chicago to attempt to forbid residents of the city from owning a handgun.

The supreme Court is patient and it waits until the appropriate time to issue a ruling.

I would use this as precedence to how the supreme Court will rule when this case comes to their docket.

I live in Illinois and have NO (read ZERO) intention of registering anything with the state government. They were legally purchased and already registered. Beside that, I don’t own any assualt rifles. Mine are all semi-automatic. Come and take it.

90% of gun related homicides are done with handguns, so…. let's ban a tiny fraction of rifles and call it effective governance. Brilliant! lol

Gun grabbers are playing checkers while the 2A advocates are playing chess. The Supreme Court typically does not intervene with ongoing cases. The prefer to pick up cases through the standard channel of appeals. This WILLbe appealed and will absolutely be overturned as it does not hold upto the scrutiny of Bruen.

The second ammendment says we have the right to keep and bear nuclear weapons if we want them. ARMS does not mean the government gets to tell us we are only allowed to throw a rock no bigger than half inch in diameter. And that we can only carry 10 rocks at a time.

Disingenuous title. SCoTUS will judge the uncontiturionality of pritzers law, after it passes lower courts rulings. They will judge based on Heller, McDonnell, and NY Rifle and Pistol. At which time it will be enjoined.

So when is the State going into Chicago and clean house???? They are not. This just targets Law abiding citizens and has no plan on taking away from organized gangs in Chicago or any other big city. Where gangs rule the streets. 60-90 shooting a week is not normal, that is a war zone like Iraq.

America is starting to look like the terrorist to me! When will these tyrants be held to any accountability. US governments can abuse our constitution, yet we the people cant get truth or transparency about their corruption, tyranny, scandles, activities and misconducts nor do they have to speak on it. That is insane to allow. Mainstream news is only their mouthpiece

… on PROCEDURAL and DUE PROCESS grounds, NOT on the "merits" of the case! It's an interlocutory action. They want the case to "percolate" up to them with a full judicial record, then they'll overturn it pursuant to their already established precedent in Heller I (2008), McDonald (2010), Caetano (2016) and NYSRPA (2022). If they did not do this, it would give the .gov the opportunity to make an argument that they did not get full DUE PROCESS and it would be easier for future wannabe tyrants to possibly overturn their ruling. This way makes it much harder for that to happen, as I understand.

Guess what?, The Supreme Court does not make any laws.
Only the legislature can create laws , it’s called delegation of authority.
Also, you cannot create laws that counteract a law that is already in place , such as the right to bear arms, and keep them.
You don’t get to create corporate policies, codes, and procedures for private constitutionally protected activities .
Which is called deprivation of rights under color of law , United States, code title, 18, section 241 and 242
