Just google "Roland Fryer" and you will see how they were hiring! Unable to fire a very successful tenured professor whose studied went again the woke narrative (he got tons of pressure NOT to publish data about black being actually less likely to be shot by the police than the average criminal!), they just destroyed his career, including closing down his department and lab that was taking millions and also succeeding in increasing academic performance of minority groups.
Not that Gay cared much about it, since she was born in an affluent, well positioned family and thus take advantage of affirmative action despite being in a better spot than most other people – which also explains how she became president of Harvard despite having the academic production of a first year PhD student.
