Hi Jordan, I got to the Jan30 edition late, however I want to express my gratitude. There is news from Alina Habba in which she calls attention to a double standard from the judge. For example, E Jean Caroll referring to Trump as a rapist when he was ‘only’ convicted of sexual assault. Habba asked why Carroll wasn’t held to account.

Does anyone comprehend WHAT the claimed contents of the Senate's proposal means? Lets start with the OBVIOUS. 😂 How exactly does this change the INABILITY to shut down the illegal crossings happening NOW? An interesting mix of stories today. I am fascinated by the border issue and immigration as a whole. Very hard to properly understand and convey what is happening there currently and historically. It is such a political issue rather than economic and humanitarian. I did wonder where the value was with the impeachment story. That is entirely political, in my view, because all you can really report on is the laying of charges and the process. To really understand something we need to know more than the charges being brought. Context is everything. Otherwise it just fosters partisan speculation.
It must be very difficult to choose stories and remain unbiased! I think, if it were me, I'd avoid political issues and report on larger or more determined issues that would benefit from an unbiased analysis of the facts and how outcomes one way or the other would impact our lives in the near term as well as future rulings. Our country is such a fascinating rats nest of rules and mechanisms as levers. It really isn't possible to remain unbiased as we reflect on how various events pass through the filter of our own value systems.
That said, I love what you are doing and I want to see you reach a wide and informed following. Ever onward!
