We have to stop describing it as "Trump installed this super majority of conservative justices on the U.S. Supreme Court," it wasn't Dirty Donnie's doing…he wouldn't know a Supreme Court justice from an ambulance chaser…this was all the Heritage Society, the Federalist Society, and every other red "think tank" you can think of, handing down their "To Do" list of plots to overthrow public, democratic government….Trump's just doing what he always has, transacting "business," does what he's told to and the plotters allow him to stay out of prison and continue the biggest grift-rape of the United States we've ever suffered.

Hopefully…slowly…we can take back our personal entitlements. We're chipping away at illegal gerrymandered maps which will recreate some balance. We're trying to educate the young we can reach. I doubt we'll have the power to change the lifetime appointments of scotus any time soon…so changing congress is the best start.

At this point in time, the SCOTUS, Inc. is the most troubling aspect of our democracy and threatens the other two branches ability to even govern. I got the background on this from reading Adam Cohen's 'Supreme Inequality-the supreme court's fifty year battle for a more unjust America'. With lifetime appointments, we are in for decades more of the same trend.
Note: the Comstock Act can end all abortions if enforced! So, #voteblue in all upcoming local/county/state/national elections to save democracy/human rights! People may be fatigued and say they aren't interested in politics at all, it doesn't matter who…but they know more than given credit. They know politics is corrupt and run by 1%.

Our opinion of the Supreme Court can be and is affected by broadcast lies and misinformation. So I would say that if there was a hierarchy of threats to the democracy, telling the truth based on evidence should be even more basic. If we can demand the truth be told in our court system, why not establish a system that will push the truth telling trend in our public air and electronic mediums.
You do not have to have engaged in insurrection, you just have to have aided it. When he didn't call the national guard, that was him aiding it.

Thank you for this informative discussion. I see so much news and commentary being repeated while important topics such as this are ignored. Even the discussion of protecting democracy from another Trump term often comes across as hyperbolic. However, when you hear a discussion such as this, the broader rationale to be engaged in this election becomes clear.
On whether Trump should be on the ballot: I find it interesting that the Court in the name of "uniformity" will allow this crook to go free, but when it came to women's reproductive rights the Court wasn't interested in uniformity at all. So now we have this crazy patchwork of laws regarding abortion nationwide. And if conservatives have their way they are going to do the same with contraception. See what I'm getting at? Conservative get whatever they want whether it's in the name of uniformity or whether it isn't.
If no one gets Republican X heads of state to get on the news to explain if Putin wins we are going to have a global economy meltdown. Trump cannot get the presidency urgent.
