This is pure EVIL, trying to remove a candidate for insurrection, a crime he wasn't prosecuted for or convicted of. You had 3 years to gather evidence and prosecute, it wasn't done because higher courts already said there wasn't evidence of insurrection. This is nothing more then lawfare and election interference.

Any who claims an “insurrection” occurred obviously has no knowledge of history. To hear radical leftist lawyers argue this case made my blood run cold. I never fully understood how dangerous the left have become until today.

First of all – Jason Murray, you rock! 01:42:00 you certainly could have said this a few more times but, It is on the record! Funny thing – Cenk Uygur has been removed by some states but, was placed on Super Tuesday ballots in 6 states including Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas and Vermont for the primaries. They are eligible to run even though they are not eligible to hold office.

Common sense says, Neither the State nor Federal Governments nor any Corporate entity should have a "right" to choose or block candidates for Presidential election.

The power of the individual to cast a ballot for their favorite candidate, who meet qualification requirements, as provided under the GUIDELINES of the U.S. Constitution supporting 2 party system is what needs to be enforced.

Qualified participating candidates should be selected to run for office by political party majority rule and recalled, based on an abundance of verifiable evidence, by the same.

If the Supreme Court rules in tRump's favor, they will be giving aid and comfort to insurrectionists and should be disqualified from holding office.

It’s clear the 14th amendment does not apply to President. It’s also clear in section 5 it is the power of congress not states. Finally, if states could have done this that’s saying Mississippi and other southern slave states could have banned republicans from office post civil war. It’s nonsensical.

I love how sometimes the constitution is living, interpretable document, and other times it is a verbatim mandatory rulebook, just depending on which way they want to rule on any given issue.

A person has to note that republicans does not favor State Rights that go against them, however they approve of State Rights that affect Women Rights to choose what to do with their bodies.

You have to be dumb to believe that these justices can be impartial. This is a political court as I pointed out long time ago. With 6 of them appointed by Republican presidents and 3 of which appointed by Donald Trump, it's not hard to predict what the outcome is going to be.

It's important to respect whatever the SCOTUS's decision to maintain order & stability. Failure to do so would lead to chaos & the rule of the jungle! While the rule of law implies that nobody is above the law & everyone is subject to it, the rule of law doesn't judge the fairness of the law itself; rather, it outlines the specific legal procedures that the legal framework must follow! However, due to the many complexities of interpreting the law, the legal system may not consistently deliver justice?! I think Mr. Trump systematically targeted! Viva Justice & God Bless America!

I listened to this as a foreigner. This attorney is facing a tough supreme court. The chances are not looking good for him. Secondly, do Americans think of Republican states doing the same thing? America can break up because of a thing like this. You all wake up and smell the danger.

This is just a waste of time I ain't even going to listen to this anymore because they going to make up their mind they going to keep them on the ballot and let the people of the United States make they decision at the ballot box so in that case I wouldn't even waste my voice with the supreme Court because they going to keep them on the ballot anyway

Enabling Trump to be re-elected based on implicit immunity:
[re: "Officer" definition argument and the unique detail (?) that to date he is the sole President in history not to have first held any elected or other government position for which the Constitutional Oath of office was sworn.]

    This is unfathomable.
It opens the door to absolute power!

Who can't see that this serves up full Authoritarian power, including striking down term limits or the Federal Government's 3 bodied structure designed to protect the United States Democratic Republic from becoming a Fascist Dictatorship?

This case will have ramifications for the rest of this SCOTUS’ credibility and morals. Not one justice has recused themselves yet they should have done so when this was filed. They’re literally cutting off everyone but Trumps attorney from finishing their answers.
Well… only 45 minutes in and we can all see where this ruling is going. What a freaking joke. Trump is disqualified in Colorado and he’s having a public tantrum. SCOTUS is his binky.

It is ASTOUNDING to me (and all rational americans) that this scotus is "impartial" – while Barrett, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, Aleto, Thomas, and Roberts have greedy orange lips. FFS the "cross-arguments" absolutely drip of sycophant entitlement. Pack the court, or get rid of the corruption.

The 14th Amendment is the lifeblood of Socialists. The U. S. Supreme Court and inferior courts have used/are using the the 14th Amendment to enlarge upon their ungranted powers without limit or reserve. Since We have a Crisis in Texas, let's fast backward & C

what the Texas Legislature said on October 15th 1866 Re: the 14th Amendment.

The Texas Legislature by Resolution on October 15, 1866, protested as follows:

“The amendment to the Constitution proposed by this joint resolution as article XIV is presented to the Legislature of Texas for its action thereon, under Article V of that Constitution. This article V, providing the mode of making amendments to that instrument, contemplates the participation by all the States through their representatives in Congress, in proposing amendments. As representatives from nearly one-third of the States were excluded from the Congress proposing the amendments, the constitutional requirement was not complied with; it was violated in letter and in spirit; and the proposing of these amendments to States which were excluded from all participation in their initiation in Congress, is a nullity.”

IF ANYONE DID CARE THEY WOULD CHECK IT OUT & SEE WHAT 13 OTHER PROTESTING STATE LEGISLATURES SAID!! Here is one more. The Arkansas Legislature, by Resolution on December 17, 1866, protested as follows:

“The Constitution authorized two-thirds of both houses of Congress to propose amendments; and, as eleven States were excluded from deliberation and decision upon the one now submitted, the conclusion is inevitable that it is not proposed by legal authority, but in palpable violation of the Constitution.”
