It seems some have forgotten, or have opted to exercise selective memory, that Congress acquitted Trump of inciting an insurrection in his second impeachment trial. As such, the states and lower courts have no authority or jurisdiction to overturn what Congress has already decided.

It is not just the Right of States to ensure that those who stand for Office are qualified to do so, IT IS THEIR DUTY !!!
Those Secretaries of State, or those responsible for the names put onto their State's ballot who, in breach of their Oath of Office to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States, fail or refuse to do their Constitutional duty to disqualify insurrectionists, specifically Donald Trump, from the ballot in their States, should be impeached and removed from office for that Breach and must also be disqualified in the future from holding office for "giving aid or comfort" to an Insurrectionist

Joe Biden’s lawyers lost confidential documents and they had him quote on losing them while not having the authority to take them as a senator? His lawyers have more legal impunity from being prosecuted as a non government official possessing confidential documents more than a president who had the clearance and authority to declassify them? Won’t even say who these guys are that lost documents that they illegally obtained them after trump gets indicted for ones he legally can after a recent inspection of safe security? Office of the 14 th ammendment as I learned from my father- Colgate grad in history- includes the president…the highest OFFICE in the land! THANKS for the Supreme Court brief. Prop. Frame four. And page 3! The warnings of the past still apply to any insurrectionist today, be it Top Dog to the lowliest trying to survive living in a car.
In the past, Southerners trying to hold office and turn back into a confederacy, we have the same parallel to Trump wanting to CRIPPLE the USA-and I might add- after Obama’s immaculate work of uniting the USA- so much so as to easily hand over the USA to Putin! My dad (and those now gone who fought in WWII) would turn in his grave if he ever knew this!
I’ve lived in the South 8 years, 70s-80s, taught there and believe me…there was quiet a but burning riff and bad feelings against the North from taking away their industry of slavery, to Sherman’s March which horribly crippled the South following Lincoln’s death. (This I learned in 5th grade, NY State.) . Sometimes the bad feelings were towards me, but my job was as a teacher which I worked at with love, humor and dignity towards my students and their parents. I wonder if there ever can be a healing progress for those folks who to this day feel so sorely wronged in their past. If there can be, a true unification process might be realized for all of We the People. After all, I and many others have and do make some inroads.
How? Let’s just start with a proper education of American civics for all, required of all (for it is every one’s right), along with a truthful telling of our history, guided be love , humor and dignity and tough love. The alternative will forever put us down the rabbit hole.
