It’s a mistake to refer to someone who wants to have the right to instruct Seal Team 6 to assassinate a political opponent, as a king. That would be a dictator or a despot.

I don't hold the SCOTUS in high regard in the first place being how they have their own level of internal corruption and privilege. But I pray these Trump additions do not give this man full immunity.

It is very likely the Court will rule in support of Trump due to the downline issues of not having immunity for actual IN SCOPE of the duties of President situations. The real question is was his election interference part of his job, and I think it was not. Getting the DoJ to investigate, would have been arguably, but once he called GA and these other states himself and inflected political issues favoring him, it was no longer about fair elections and process, it was definitely about gaining favor more than seeing "that the laws are faithfully executed"….

The SCOTUS will be the author of their own demise allowing trump to continue. Should trump succeed he will eliminate the courts.

Hey here's an idea might help the cause of democracy… Everytime we go down the aisle with what drump wants have a list of regular people waiting for trial in jail …just as u contrast Biden an Trump, lets talk law for the rich law vs for the regular people.

Again, TFG should be careful what he wishes for.

If SCOTUS decides to overturn the lower court's decision and they state that, indeed, TFG does have absolute immunity, then that would mean President Biden ALSO has absolute immunity.

Which would mean that TFG's cronies in the House, Senate, and courts wouldn't be able to charge Biden with anything, much less prosecute him.

So the whole "absolute immunity" thing could, theoretically, bite TFG in the ass.

Also, TFG doesn't give a damn about the First Amendment rights of his cultists. He wouldn't throw water on them if they were on fire.

The potential problem here is that he may have 8 judges firmly on his side and beholden to Trump to grant him that Stay! We are talking the SCOTUS who have no idea how to read the Constitution, are completely political, corrupt as hell and wants to rewrite law to fit their own agenda. There is nobody watching them. They are untouchable. They "police themselves".
I would be shocked if they say "no" to him.
The US justice system is severely broken. Trump is correct about one thing, it is a two tier system, it is very obvious. What I don't get is why he is complaining because it is lopsided in his favor. These cases are very late and most likely every one of them will fail and be dismissed, including the Washington DC case.
The DOJ totally blew it! Even Jack Smith has now been effected by the Trump contagion just the other day, giving in to Trump on the Mara Lago case and trying to call it a great strategic move!

Why don't you think SCOTUS will make a mockery of the law? They've already got a track record of doing just that.

the SC has already made a mockery of rule of law by the fact that they establish what they WANT as the result and then play twister with precedent & laws to come to that conclusion.
no faith/no confidence they will do the right thing
