SCOTUS will take this case, before Jan 5, which would stay the verdict and allow Trump to remain on the ballot. I doubt very much that that Court will consider the merits anytime soon (kicking the can down the road, maybe until never), thus allowing Trump to become the RNC's official presidential candidate…

The constitution clearly states the repercussions when not upheld. It isn't preserved to ignore or be seen as a novelty that no longer applies to this country. If only they had sharpee pens back in the day the words might be a bit clearer.
The Colorado supreme court drama is just a distraction from a real scandal that will threaten to topple the democrat party fairly soon.
Newly released video evidence that the democrat leadership had fought tooth and nail to suppress clearly shows that there was no insurrection at the Capitol, and as soon as the GOP controlled House subpoenas Yogananda Pittman under oath, we will get to the bottom of Nancy Pelosi's botched attempt to disqualify Trump from the 2024 election.
It's going to be very interesting to see if anything will happen to the democrat leadership when all of the American citizens who are still being held as political prisoners for Nancy Pelosi's January 6th insurrection hoax finally get to have their day in court.

….except that a STATE Court is UNABLE to rule Trump guilty of a FEDERAL crime (such as Insurrection). Is it so difficult a concept that STATE Courts are LIMITED to ruling on STATE crimes, and FEDERAL courts rule on FEDERAL crimes…like Insurrection? Federal Courts already ruled that Trumps actions were NOT insurrection, and DROPPED all actions to accuse/try/convict Trump of Insurrection. SCOTUS is going to hand Colorado Supreme Court Judges their @sses for EXCEEDING their STATE limitations over FEDERAL matters/crimes.

FACT–if SCOTUS rules against the Colorado S.C. the SCOTUS will be opening the White House doors to all insurrectionists/coups devised by tyrannically inclined presidents– leaving no legal safeguards against them. Who is in agreement?
Sadly, the current SCOTUS is a political body and not a legal one. They will hold that trump does not hold an 'office' for the purposes of section 14(3) and thus they will restore him to the ballot. And Clarence Thomas will not recuse himself as he is 100% corrupt.
