The language of the 14th amendment is clear. Trump was an officer of the United States on January 6th 2021, he took an oath, and he incited in insurrection.
Donald Trump hasn't been convicted of anything done on January 6th when he wasn't even there. The media took out everything that he said in regards to going to the capital and protesting peacefully and letting their voices be heard which sounds nothing like an Insurrection to me. Now what others decided to do was on them and those individuals involved were prosecuted but had nothing to do with Donald trump!

The Colorado State Supreme Court does not have the authority to try someone for insurrection against the United States. Insurrection is a federal crime, and jurisdiction over such offenses falls under the purview of the federal courts.

The 14th Amendment Section 5 states: "The Congress shall have the power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article." If Congress has not, then the Constitution and existing laws determine what should be done.

If things worked correctly, Trump should be bared from running at all, in any State by the Supreme Court. Unless Congress votes by 2/3 to allow him to run, as that is how the 14th Amendment is written.
Why is this age restricted? And I don't understand why the Supreme Court is likely to overturn, as the 14th Amendment is clear. This was an insurrection, and Trump was involved. So the Supreme Court is expected to trample the Constitution? That is sad.
