It again facilitate black money into the political system. Supreme Court in its eagerness for the right to information has set the clock of the country backwards by several years. Rather they could have improvised the Electoral Bonds scheme. The lost the chance.

SBI is asking for time because they are actively changing the data right now. Data in its current form will cause more harm, so they need time to change the data. New companies are being created in back date and bonds data is being changed to point bond being issued to them, so it does not point to the actual corporates/people who originally had purchased.

Why can't we have a system, all Electoral bond (without anonymity and through banking channel / legal money and legal way) reaches to a common pool and the donor can decide, for Loksabha polls or State level polls. Then, the common pooled amount will be shared between the parties, based on the previous election vote percentage…. is it not fair…
What is to be seen in future is how does one ensure that the ruling party does not go after the companies donating to opposition. Any thoughts?
