Otherwise, future wannabe tyrants could make an argument that they did not get FULL DUE PROCESS and, more easily, overturn their decision. This way it makes that much more difficult to do. Once this reaches the SC ON THE MERITS, it WILL be overturned pursuant to the SC's already established precedents in Heller I (2008), McDonald (2010), Caetano (2016) and NYSRPA (2022).

A state cannot effectively enforce unconstitutional laws if millions refuse to comply. It's not possible to arrest millions. For instance, the state economy cannot sustain that much loss in the work force or consumers. The court system cannot handle millions of cases. The jails cannot hold millions of new suspects. etc. There's no realistic option for the state if everyone simply refuses to comply.

This seems unconstitutional. The 2nd amendment protects the right to have guns to defend yourself against a tyrannical government. Hunting and self-defense are other uses beyond the original. Limiting one side to a single shot is a real advantage

The REGISTERING of such guns/items, is what is unconstitutional, let alone other factors. No matter that other states have enacted registration too; they are also unconstitutional. Unless we want to become like Saddam Hussein's era of Iraq, when even typewriters had to be registered with the government…i.e., would you accept govt registration requirements on every device you use to exercise your First Amendment rights…?
They tried this in some other state recently. Something like .01% complied. đ

And the dumbest thing about these bans is to make illegal the gun if the LCM is banned too. The AR-15 is the same thing as any other semi-auto rifle, and if 10 rounds is the mag limit, then it makes no difference whether the bullet is fired from the AR or any other semi-auto rifle.
