Hi Michael, I really like your thoughts on term limits for the SCOTUS. A working example is often helpful to bring such an idea closer to your peers.
One such example you might want to use is Germany's "Bundesverfassungsgericht/ eng. Federal Constitutional Court" which is our highest court. Judges have two clear limits to their time on the bench. Each judge can only serve one term of up to 12 years or until they reach the age limit of 68. This is still a long period of time to concentrate on work without having to worry about term limit, but it allows the court to evolve with the decades.
The SCOTUS always gives me a stale impression when I see their pictures and how long they are there.
Maybe this can help you to promote your thoughts when you hopefully embark on your political endeavours.

It's scary as hell listening to how Cohen and Dave talk about the Palestinians while Israel commits atrocities against them. Because I suspect that is how many ordinary people in their faith community talk about the Palestinians. And really, it doesn't feel any different to how ordinary Germans talked about the Jews while the Germans were committing atrocities against them.
