You don't need a bump stock to bump fire a gun. It makes it easier but you don't need it.

Please, don't delete this comment because it goes against the usual echo chamber. As much as I want #Trump2024 to win I serve I higher authority and must speak the truth. This doesn't just infringe upon our #2A rights but opens the door to eroding #4A , also. A "bump stock" isn't an item, it's a technique! A person can manipulate the recoil of a rifle to "bump" it back into firing another round. Yes, people can fabricate devices to make it easier to do but the same result can be achieved without any additional hardware. I've seen them made out of wood and nails. Should 2x4s be made illegal? This was a moment of Trump's weakness and cowardice. There are times to be pragmatic but on this issue we have to hold him accountable. The entire Bill of Rights , Constitution and Republic itself hangs on the Second Amendment. It's game over when it's gone. #ShallNotBeInfringed
Bump stocks are a novelty item and I can use specialized triggers and even a belt loop to get that rate of fire. Every gun law is an infringement, however!
