Communism and Fascism both ban firearms, take your pick as Canada is spinning down that path meanwhile actual criminals run rampant and care not. A legal gun owner that obeys the laws is not the problem so what is the real reason they wish to ban firearms in Canada, control.

The Trudeau liberals are the most conniving government in Canadian history. Everything they have done regarding firearms legislation has been sneaky and underhanded. As unjustifiable as it is, it would be easier to swallow if it actually improved public safety, but it won’t; this was purely a political move to divide Canadians. Pushing rural and urban folks against one another and restricting citizens from owning firearms. The day they’re defeated by the conservatives can’t come soon enough! It’s time for this ideologically driven government to hit the road.

Hey @CP24 What is an 'assault style' rifle? Because automatic firearms have been banned in canada since the 1970's, and only the armed forces and law enforcement have been granted an exemption…. And since the laws ALWAYS prevent illegal firearms from crossing the border, why is this needed?

Like, I'm not even a gun owner or a hunter, and even I know that…..

This is fuckin ridiculous. This is a direct result of having wieners for government leaders AKA liberals. In comparison to other countries, we have the least amount of “gun violence” than most. Liberals just want us all wearing rainbow colours and turning us all into trannies. We just look like the weakest country on a constant basis and I personally hate living in Canada these days. What’s next? Mandatory gender reassignment surgery? 😂

The government doesn't care about your wellbeing, as we know from their willingness to make everything worse using mass immigration. They want gun control because they want to be able to continue to strip our rights away, and incrementally impose authoritarianism, without any risk of blowback.

Canada, pop. 39 million, had 343 homicides in 2022, up 12% from 2021. United Kingdom, pop. 69 million, had 35 firearm homicides in 2022, a typical year. UK banned handguns in 1997. Bill C-21 isn’t perfect. Still, give it a chance. Polls show most Canadians want more restrictive gun laws; women overwhelmingly do. If we have 10x the firearm homicides a country 75% bigger than us, we have work to do.
The response of the CCFR and NFA have been to lobby for open carry, concealed carry, no limits on semiautomatics, or handguns, bigger magazines…the usual NRA stuff. The firearm homicide rate in USA is 4x higher than Canada’s rate. I don’t think they have much to teach us.

I think it's time for all privately owned range facilities across the country to cease allowing rental of their range facilities by Government and Private agencies for training. Many police and private security companies do not have their own range facilities and routinely rent the ranges from privately(membership) funded privately owned clubs with ranges. The government has now taken concrete steps to take away property and thereby hard earned money from Canadians who are not the source of criminal violence. Maybe the government should foot the bill for building and maintaining ranges for these professionals, police, security, conservation officers to conduct training in a safe , legal, non privately funded way.
Since they believe my interest in competition shooting does not meet that criteria I believe these agencies would not be able to conduct their training on those private facilities either.

Whats crazy to me was all the people who came through at senate stating what the real problem was and that its the border.. senators listened and seemed intrigued and even said some of the amendments to target the real problem were a good idea. But then all the senators followed suit and voted against it 5minutes later… You cant tell me these people arent bribed ..
