Jews need to assert ourselves! For years, Jews in America had twisted ourselves into a pretzel in order to fit in and assimilate. Once viewed as "non white," only after WWII were Jews viewed as not merely white, but white and privileged. We need to reassert the fact that Jews come in all races, colors, and classes. The majority of Americans are ignorant to that fact. My father was genetically Sardinian… darker skinned. We were not rich/privileged growing up. I am comfortable today, due to hard work and a meritocratic system that once taught that perspicacity leads to success. Now, it would appear that success equates to being an oppressor! Jews need to make our story known. Jews are not white and oppressive at the whims of a society that conveniently wishes to cancel us while putting us in a box.
