Back in 1993 I rescued a rather Large man from his vehicle. Before it caught fire. At 6'1" and 200 lbs it was not easy to drag a 350+ pound person out of a wreck on its roof. I was later rewarded with a Law Suit for his Injuries from my pulling him from the Wreck. Considering nobody else was around to help and his vehicle caught fire a few minutes after I got him out. Fire And EMT show up 20 minutes later. In court I made a Statement to his family,and the judge. "Had I known I was going to be penalized for saving him from Burning to Death, I would have never stopped to help, and let him parish in the Fire." Cruel you may think? The Judge ruled in my favor, (my Countersuit). I also made it clearly known I will NEVER stop unless there are kids at risk. The Good Samaritan Law does NOT protect you.
