Seems weird that laws within a country can vary from state to state. Even more weird is that they can seemingly change the laws to accommodate different scenarios ahead of trials in order to guarantee a conviction. The worst thing appears to be that there are higher influences steering a lot of court officials.

Actually, I was very impressed with justice Jackson and her non-partisan astute inquiry! Also justice Gorsich was very impressive as well. There was not a 'weak player' in this hearings and all the justices proved why they serve on the US Supreme Court with their brilliant collective analysis.

Colorado is having difficulty indentifying electors who aren't insurrectionists. Mr. Murray, simply ask all electors if they intend to cast a vote for Mr. Trump. Then bar them from being electors. Simple and you'll have identified closeted insurrectionists. If trump does make the ballot just record any republican ballots for him and bar them from state offices.
In its very core, this goes to show how much faith SCOTUS has in the federal supreme court of every state. On one hand it is trying to convince Americans there is no Biden Justice or Trump Justice but on the other hand, it is saying it really can't trust the federal supreme courts of each state to be apolitical to make impartial decisions. This is the message SCOTUS is actually sending if they rule in favor of Trump based on this concern. SCOTUS is just going to slap itself in its face… again!

Justice Alitto, the only difference between a citizen and non citizen is the freedom to vote and hold office. It's my understanding in some states this is no longer true. Pres and vp were left out because there was no remedy as you know.
The problem with this argument that Congress needs to implement it is that state has the power given under the constitution to administer elections.
Each state is the soul judge of its own elections.
