Fair enough, but why wouldn't Trump be eligible? He hasn't been convicted or even charged with insurrection, which looked like a poorly managed riot to me, especially when compared to Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA examples of properly managed riots mainly reported as peaceful protests.
I'll make it simple for scotus, Trump has not been stripped of his citizenship and is a citizen of the usa in full standing. 🤦♀️ unless you've been stripped of your citizenship you can pretty much run for any office so it's broadly applicable.

Colorado should be embarrassed bringing this case. As usual, the left is trying to usurp the Constitution and have their own way. If SCOTUS were to find for Colorado, there would be complete chaos between states that are blue and red and as stated by the Justice's only a handful of states would decide the president of the U.S. It's unlikely that SCOTUS is going to rewrite the rules here. Both arguments were weak..
With all do respect, wasn't President Trump found not guilty of instruction? I could see if he was found guilty you having this argument but even then im not sure you have a legitimate reason for removing him of the ballot. Im not partial for any particular party in fact i dont vote.

Why did no one mention that Trump has never been charged with and of course, never found guilty of insurrection making this whole thing moot.

Trump has never been convicted of anything. Colorado is a corrupt state run by Demonrats in congress.
The State government of Colorado does NOT represent the people of Colorado.
What is most problematic is that people are willing to back the most immoral human being ever to hold office. Trump has evern attribute that his supporters say they are against — immorality, criminality, and a pathology that compels him to be a liar. The Republican party needs to find a better candidate, one who really cares about the nation instead of just himself and how much money he can grift off his supporters. Hardworking Americans are being cheated and lied to by Trump every day, accepting the kind of offenses that they would not tolerate in their own friends, family, or community.
Trump has yet to be charged by DOJ for insurrection. But, even if he had been, and convicted, Colorado might still not have the right to strike him from the ballot. It is also ambiguous if the constitutional prohibition even applies to a sitting president.
Some of these words aren’t in my vocabulary but I feel like I’m gaining brain cells watching this. I feel so smart right now.
😂😂😂 this guy Jason Murray is a laughing stock! Not sayin he isn’t somewhat well studied and intelligent in ways but still a joke. I would almost bet after this case depending on the outcome which is kind of apparent what it might be, he won’t be a lawyer much longer.
These poor justices. 😔They probably never thought they would have to apply their understanding of the constitution in fear and favor.
It seems to me that allowing the States to eliminate candidates from the ballot would only strengthen the multi party system we are supposed to have. So the Dems. And Reps. lose. The voting public wins. I don't see the downside unless maintaining control is your intention. I hope the justices find the guts to stand up for the rule of constitutional law over fear of political fallout.
