People only leave their country and enter other illegally when there is a threat to their life in their own country.
1. The fundamental flaw in this law is the assumption that this threat could only have come due to religious affiliation of a person. There can be political reasons or other reasons as well.
2. The second flaw is assuming that even among the religions, only a subset have faced life threats and others had not.
So what is the purpose of this law? If we agree that this government is very noble and wants to help migrant people get citizenship and full rights in this country, then this law looks pretty incomplete as it leaves out major chunk of migrants.
And if the purpose is to benefit only a small part of migrants based on religion, how can we as a secular nation justify this? PLAIN & SIMPLE.

Citizenship act :- .1) It is wholly matter of Union to make law.2) Vide article 256 all states are constitutionally bound to follow laws made by Parliament .Only remedy is if SC declares a Central act as Unconstitutional. 3) Art 14 > It has two parts a) Equality before law b) Equal protection of law . For whom it is applicable ? Constitution says ," State shall not deny any person [repeat , any person ] Yes, All are equal before any law . And law is applicable to all. BUT , ALL LAWS ARE NOT IN EQUAL type of LAW . ALL LAWS ARE CATEGORISED . So, article 14 never said , all laws are equally applicable to all . For an Indian Violation of foreigner's act will certainly not be applicable . Non Indian can not claim Government Job , Non Indian can not compete in election . Non Indians are not covered by Indian Tax laws etc etc. So before applicability of any law to any person , it is to be seen first , under which law the person is covered . Then question of discrimination will arise.
Citizenship act :- 1) It is in part II of Constitution of India ; Not a FR chapter of Constitution of India.
2) For Citizenship act , it is the parliament who enjoys unfettered right , not any state Legislature vide art,11. 3) Since independence Nehruji , Patelji, Gandhiji even CPI[M] as a party advocated such act . Can it be denied ?

Sir Indian constitution is for giving protection to citizens of India. So Article 14 applies to citizens of India only. CAA is for non citizens of India who intend to take up Indian citizenship. So clearly Article 14 of Indian constitution does not apply. This is common sense and Govt is not fool to do such a silly mistake. Let the opposition does whatever they want. Now the real question is whether citizenship should be given to enemies just based on religion. That may be matter of may security concern. And secondly how we are verifying their actual religion. I believe India shouldn’t give citizenship just like that without any thorough scrutiny. And we are already 1.4 billion and this act may increase illegal migration to India in a hope that they may get citizenship in future. So this is dangerous for national security. Hence I believe CAA is not required.
Govt at present is not going to survey any migrants. Only those Migrants who want to get Citizen ship of india will be asked to register with the govt.
