You forget that four out of the five people on the Supreme Court think they should be able to interpret the Constitution without being burdened by previous Supreme Court decisions.(unless they find it convenient to do so)
Two of them are dumb enough to somehow ignore the words in the Constitution itself that talk about an oath of office and taking office and the office of the President. Remember one fellow said that Roe versus Wade was established law that obviously didn't mean anything to him.

In my 21 years in Uniform everytime I walked into any facility I ever worked in, the first smiling face I saw was the picture of the President of the United States on the entry wall. The same holds true when I walk into any Veterans Administration Hospital. It cuts me to core when I see a blind 18 year old Veteran struggling to get his wheelchair out of the Hospital elevator or someone walking on their hands in the snow while they wait for new legs as they struggle to get to their cardboard box in the alley.

14th Amendment section 3 also disqualifies ANYONE who previously took an oath of office, who has given aide and comfort to insurrectionist.
They also tried saying he "never took and oath to support the Constitution". Maybe they meant that oaths don't mean anything at all to the criminal defendant and disgruntled ex-employee. Marriage vows don't mean anything to him either.

There is no case where the Supreme Court would rule that Trump wasn't the president, so this makes no sense and is simply a ideological fantasy. The question is if the presidency is an office, not if Trump was the president. That being said, ruling the presidency as not being an office sounds absolutely ludicrous and Trump should be banned from holding office again since he is quite an obvious threat to democracy.
